When I first moved to Perth, I would google around looking for fun, new, and interesting things to do – restaurants, museums, hikes, beaches, etc. That’s how I found Weekend Notes. It’s essentially a freelance forum where writers can submit quick articles about goings on (going ons?) in a city. No need to be a professional writer – all one has to do is write the article and submit to the editor where they will approve/edit and then publish. Easy!
So far I’ve had just two articles published – one on our weekend visit to the Swan Valley and now one from last weekend’s trip to The Cut Golf Course. Please check them out if you want/can! I would appreciate it 🙂 I get paid a [small] amount for number of visits and comments, plus I just like to see the viewer stats go up! Adding to my writing portfolio is really the impetus for this new venture, so I appreciate support and encouragement on this fledgling hobby. And check back here where I’ll let yall know when I submit new articles to Weekend Notes Perth.
Here’s a sneak peek from article about The Cut – there are more amazing pictures and views where this came from:
So if you’re living in Perth (or want to come visit!!), you can check out or subscribe to my Weekend Notes articles – I’m hoping to do a least one a week (depending on how thrilling my activities are). There are also forums for other cities around Australia, the UK, and NYC in the states. Until next time…
